Day 1 - Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X

Well this morning we started P90X. We completed the Chest and Back program and did the Ab Ripper X. It was pretty extreme, but not quite as bad as I originally thought it would be. There were some push-ups that I couldn't completely do during the chest and back program but I just did as many as a could and I think that should be good. I know in time I will be able to complete the exercises with the program. I feel good and like the pace that they set for you. I think that give you ample time to rest and get hydrated during the program.

The Ab workout was difficult. That is a good way to sum it up. I don't think I have any abs after doing that workout. I sure hope that I can make it through that entire workout after the program. It didn't help much that they put people on it that were completely sculpted.

We had one of the smoothies suggested in the recipe book for breakfast it was good. I have put the recipe below for anyone who wants it:

8 oz. of water
1 banana
4 strawberries
1 tsp. Honey
1 scoop protein (20 mg)

Blend all ingredients until smooth. I think I added a few more strawberries, and the little bit of honey sure made it sweet. You could probably not add as much honey and it would still be good.

Anyways, I will report back tomorrow after the plyometrics, that is if I can still move after that intense workout. (We already watched parts of the plyometric workout and it seemed really extreme.
