Day 10 - Shoulders and Back

This morning we did shoulders and back and ab ripper x. They were both extreme, I really pushed myself hard on both and I am feeling the fatigue this morning. I like how I feel and am enjoying the workouts. I have lost a total of 8 pounds as of this morning (so in just over a week), I am feeling great and I can already tell that my strength is improving. We are headed off to Vegas tomorrow, I will not have access to the internet down there so I will have to post when I get back. Yes, I am planning on doing the workouts in Vegas. The hotel we are staying at has a great spa, so I you can bet that I will be using that a couple times after workouts. Talk to you in a week or so.

Day 9 - Plyometrics

I didn't do the Plyometrics workout on Tuesday .... I went fishing instead. I did however get a good workout walking the driftboat down the river to the take out, and I felt that I used a lot of calf and thigh muscle, not to mention the arms when pulling the boat along the shore. I will try to be more determined to do the workouts everyday, but I have been studying a lot lately and needed the fishing trip. Plus I was really tired after the fishing trip.

Day 8 - Shoulders and Back

Today we started the week over with shoulders and back. It was good and I already feel a little bit of extra strength when compared to last week. I checked on Friday and I could already do one additional pull-up then I could originally do. I focused on getting the correct posture and form for the exercises and tried to max out every time. I think that I may need a resistance band with more resistance when doing some of the exercises, I find mine pretty easy to do them with. I am still enjoying the program, although I am staying up way to late so it makes it hard to get up early enough so the kids don't come out while I am exercising.

Day 6 - Kempo (Cardio X)

Okay, well we didn't get to do the Kempo on Saturday because I didn't put it on the Apple TV yet, so we did the Cardio X workout. It felt good to do some cardio workouts. I think that this will be one of my weak areas, but I hope that I can get some improvements in this area over the next few weeks. I heard that week four is pretty cardio intense so I better start preparing myself now.

We also saved the ab workout for today because Tara had to go into work really early on Friday. It was good, I am starting to be able to do some of the exercises but still struggle on them too. I am only expecting improvement on these exercises in the coming weeks.

Oh and one week down and twelve to go. I really think that we can get through this, we just need to make sure that we are making time to do the exercises everyday.

Day 5 - Legs and Back

So, I guess that I am getting a little behind lately on the blog postings. I will try to be better I just have a lot of stuff going on right now. Anyway, we did legs and back on Friday and it was pretty tough. I decided that I would push myself a little bit and I feel great after doing the workout. I am getting excited every time we workout, I think that I am going to be able to finish this.

Day 4 - Yoga

Yoga, Yoga, Yoga I used to think that Yoga looked easy but this one kicked my butt. I think that this workout had me sweating more than any of the other workouts so far. It was harder than I ever thought it would be. It had me balancing, twisting in ways that I never had done before, and sweating drips. At the end of the workout I felt refreshed though and really liked it. It was hard to do for 90 minutes though, but at least it is only once a week.

We had a blueberry-banana shake this morning with a little protein powder in it. It was delicious. I have already lost 6 pounds and it has only been four days.

Talk to you tomorrow after legs and back, that is if I can still stand and walk over to the computer.

Day 3 - Shoulders and Arms

Wednesday we did shoulders and arms. My legs are still burning from the plyometrics workout on Tuesday. The workout today was really intense, I guess they mean it when they put the extreme in the name. We all did good though. Today I used the purple band and I think that it worked me out pretty bad. But I am not to sore today. We will see how I feel in the next couple of days.

For breakfast we had shakes again, I think that we will probably have the shakes for breakfast for a while. They are good and they fill us up, not to mention they help with the sweet tooth.
